1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GoodScriber (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GoodScriber is an AI-powered language learning platform focused on the "repeat after" (shadowing) method. We provide tools for intelligent sentence segmentation, audio playback with subtitles, repeat-after practice, as well as audio transcription and text-to-speech conversion to support your learning.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You can sign up using your email address or Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Payment
Some features require a paid Pro or Premium subscription. Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until cancelled and include a monthly credit allocation. One-time credit packs are also available; purchased credits never expire and provide Pro feature limits while a balance remains. Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by GoodScriber and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our AI models and algorithms are proprietary technology.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of all audio files and text content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes beyond delivering the Service.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to upload content that infringes on third-party rights, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, to interfere with or disrupt the Service, or to use the Service to generate harmful or misleading content.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. GoodScriber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
